In stock market terms, we leaped into a bull market in August. Not only did our RVing expenses surge, so did our income. Income increased by 73% month over month and we covered 69% of our RVing expenses in August. Most of the income is through advertising and affiliate sales on our website and YouTube channel. If you are interested in starting your own site, read our post on How to Setup a Self Hosted WordPress Website. Our aggressive year end goal is to generate enough income to cover our expenses each month, which we estimate to be about $2,700. Below is the full breakdown of our August 2016 income report.

August 2016 Income Report
YouTube continues to out perform all other income sources. This is our primary focus because we see a direct effect in earnings based on the amount of work we put in.
Google Adsense performed better than expected. Combined with the revenue from Sovrn, our website generated $112 in advertising. This is the most we’ve made since the website was monetized.

Did you stop doing the income reports? I watched the August 2016 video and others, wondered how you’re doing now, but can’t find anything later. It looks like you’ve more than quadrupled the number of YouTube subscribers since then, am curious about whether you’re more than covering all expenses, including the website ones and others that you said were not included.
I don’t want a lot of emails, seem to get notified on facebook already when you have new postings. But if it will help, I’d subscribe to the website or YouTube – do I have to subscribe to both?! Which works better for you?
Hi Wendy. We stopped sharing the income reports because very few people read them. In terms of subscribing, YouTube and Facebook are the two that work best. We have been able to cover our living expenses this year, which is very exciting. Thank you for following our journey!
I think you would be surprised at how many people would be interested in knowing the current info. So many folks are inquiring now as your viewers increase. That’s why I’m on this current page as I was seeking this info. I suggest you at least do an update so your fans can see the change over the year. Thanks.
Hi Kait & Joe,
We have been following you guys for a little more than a year. We actually went full-time in September without any previous experience. The one thing we always looked forward to were the income/expense reports. Why did you decide to stop doing this?
Thanks,
Todd
Hi Todd! Congrats on going full time! How are you enjoying the lifestyle? We’re considering sharing our expenses once we transition into camper van life. As for the income reports, our goal was to give readers an idea of what we were doing. The content wasn’t very popular, so we stopped publishing the reports. I’m glad you found it interesting.
I really, really want to do this! I’m getting ready to leave Chicago for the South. Most likely Nashville-ish area. But what I really want is to buy and RV, travel and Vlog.
I wish you guys ALL the best. Maybe we will meet someday. 😉
Martha
Thank you Martha! We wish you all the best with your move and hope to see you on the road one day.

This is really amazing. 2.2K a month? Very good indeed. Me and my wife also traveling. Currently, we travel around Thailand and the east for the last 4 years and making part of our money from the Internet. But, I’m pretty new at this, and as of today, I make around $500 With E-commerce store. And It’s growing each month. I think this post is a good example and proof that it’s possible. What is important is to start and act.
I didn’t know that you can earn so much from videos on YouTube. I think I’ll start trying this stuff. I’m very inspired by this post.
Many thanks and continue the good work 🙂
Hi Rami! Glad you found this post helpful. It’s hard work but it does pay off and more importantly it’s fun. We’d love to travel around Asia and hear Thailand is beautiful. Enjoy your journey and best of luck in your endeavors.
Thanks Kait Russo. When you get to Thailand, Drop me an email. Maybe we can have a cup of coffee together
Sounds great Rami! Have an awesome weekend.
Love your site! We’ve been full-timing all summer. We sold all of our possessions that don’t fit in our 2001 30 ft. Airstream Excella as well as our properties. We’d love to watch your videos but can’t spend the data … But we’ll read every word you publish! Well done! Our website is Livinginbeauty.net
Happy RVing!!!!
Hi Carmen! Thanks for the compliment 🙂 We totally understand what you mean about data. See you on the road!
