It’s hard to believe we’ve been going to RV shows around the U.S. for over 12 years now. Everything from some of the largest RV shows in the country, to the popular Florida shows, to smaller regional shows put on by local RV dealers.
Along the way, we’ve walked through more RVs than I could even begin to count, talked to manufacturers, dealers and fellow RVers, filmed quite a few RV tours for our YouTube Channel and even inspired the purchase of our first RV.
Needless to say, we’ve been to a lot of RV shows over the years and they’re definitely not all the same.
Some shows are massive and you can spend several days walking around and still not see everything. Others might only have a few dealers and a couple hundred RVs. Then there are shows like Quartzsite that are an entirely different experience altogether.
After more than a decade of attending RV shows around the country, there are definitely a few that stand out and some we keep going back to.
Whether you’re shopping for an RV, want to see what’s new, or you just enjoy spending the day looking at campers like we do, here are the RV shows we think are worth putting on your radar.
Florida RV SuperShow – Our Favorite Overall RV Show
The Florida RV SuperShow in Tampa is probably the RV show we’ve attended the most over the years, and if we had to pick one as our favorite overall, this would be it.
It’s a massive show with just about every type of RV you can imagine, from small travel trailers and camper vans to luxury motorhomes. But part of what makes Tampa so great is that it happens in January. The weather in Florida is usually pretty nice that time of year and if you’re coming from somewhere cold, it’s a good excuse to escape winter for a bit.
Since we’re already making the drive down to Florida in our RV, we’ve started turning the trip into more of an experience. Sometimes we’ll add a short Caribbean cruise before or after the show, or spend a few days camping at Fort Wilderness. If we’re going to drive all the way to Florida in January, might as well make the most of it.
There’s also a lot going on beyond just shopping for an RV and we always seem to run into friends and people we know from the RV community. If you’re only going to attend one of the big RV shows, Tampa would be high on our list.

Hershey RV Show – See What’s New for the Next Model Year
One of our favorite things about the Hershey RV Show is the timing. The show happens every September, right around the time manufacturers are rolling out their new model-year RVs, which means there’s usually new stuff to see.
It’s also a huge show, officially called America’s Largest RV Show, so you can see and compare a lot of RVs in one place. Just like Tampa, give yourself plenty of time because there’s a lot of ground to cover.
Want to go? Check out our complete Hershey RV Show guide for more about the show and tips from our visits over the years.
Quartzsite RV Show – An RV Experience Like No Other
The Quartzsite RV Show in Arizona is unlike any other RV show we’ve attended. The show itself is centered around the big tent with vendors, RVs and plenty of things you probably didn’t know you needed, but the real experience is everything happening around it.
Every January, RVers descend on the desert around Quartzsite and camp on the surrounding public lands. You’ll find everything from DIY vans and truck campers to huge motorhomes scattered across the desert, along with rallies, meetups and gatherings happening all over the area.
For us, Quartzsite is less about shopping for a new RV and more about the overall experience. Camp in the desert, walk through the big tent, meet other RVers and spend some time exploring the area. It’s one of those RV events we think is worth experiencing at least once.

How to Get the Most out of an RV Show
Over the years, we’ve learned a few things that can make the experience a lot more enjoyable, especially at big shows like Tampa and Hershey.
Wear comfortable shoes, have an idea of what you want to see before you get there and don’t try to see everything in one day. If you’re shopping for an RV, take plenty of photos and notes because after walking through your 20th RV, they all start to blend together.
We put together an entire RV Show Survival Guide with more of our tips for getting the most out of your day at an RV show.
If you’re shopping for your first RV, we also shared our own RV shopping experience in our first book, including going to RV shows, visiting dealers, test driving different RVs and negotiating the price before finally buying our first RV.
What About RV Shows Near Me?
You don’t have to travel to Tampa, Hershey or Quartzsite to attend an RV show. There are plenty of smaller regional RV shows around the country and we’ve attended quite a few of those over the years too.
Some are basically local RV dealers bringing their inventory together in one place for the public to walk through. That can actually be a great option if you’re shopping for an RV since you can see what’s available locally, compare different floor plans and talk with several dealers without driving all over town.
Just keep in mind that these shows can be very different from the big ones we mentioned above. The RVs on display may be limited to the brands and models carried by the participating dealers.
Finding one near you is pretty easy these days. Search for RV shows in your area or ask your favorite AI assistant, then check the show organizer’s website to see which dealers and manufacturers will be there before making the trip.
Whether it’s one of the big shows or a small one close to home, you never know what you’ll find walking through an RV show. Who knows, you might even find your next RV.
Have a favorite RV show you think we should check out? Let us know in the comments!
I would like to follow the RV shows in 2024. Can i sign up for a newsletter or something? Thanks.
Monty
Once the 2024 shows are available, we’ll update this list so stay tuned.
Will they have the new Bowlus at Lake Havasu
Nice list! Do you know of a site that has a similar list of all the RV Rallys each year? It would be kinda cool to hit a few different ones as we travel from May to October this year. (and in the future) We’ve been to Escapees, FMCA & FCOE rallys in the past, this year most are on the east coast and due to family things scheduled this year we have to stay west of the Mississippi. Thanks, Bill
I plan on attending the Houston 2022 RV show. It will be my first RV show so don’t know what all to expect. What I’m really interested in is shows that feature conversion vans/builders/equipment vendors. Any idea on shows around the country for this type?
The Adventure Van Expo will be good to check out. Once the new show dates are announced we will update the listings.
Hey Joe and Kait! This is Stu from the United Kingdom. Been a long (very long) time follower of your blog and YouTube videos. You inspired me to start a site of my own, although I doubt I will ever be able to do it half as well as you guys! Unlike a lot of others out there, you guys always are genuine – I’ve purchased quite a few products you’ve recommended on your blog and I don’t think I’ve ever come away disappointed. Thanks for what you are doing and keep up the great work.
I’ve attended quite a few shows around the country, and have had the opportunity to talk to a number of show organizers (Quartzsite, Seattle, Austin) over the past few months. I put together my recommendations for the Best RV Shows in 2021 to share some of my knowledge on the subject matter. There is up-to-date details and fun tips that I got from speaking with the show organizers that I don’t believe you can find on the show websites. Based on the comments, I think your readers may find it useful when choosing some shows in 2021.
I was wondering if – as a supplement to your comprehensive list of shows – you would be willing to share my “Best RV Shows 2021” piece at https://beginrv.com/best-rv-shows/ If you look at it and don’t think it’s worth it, I totally understand!
Again, thank you so much for all the information and fun you’ve provided over the years. Will continue to read and I’m sure make some more purchases (just don’t tell my wife!!).
All the best!
Stu from the UK
Hi There:
I am wondering if the Adventure Van Expo in Lake Tahoe is still happening Sept 5-6?
There is no number to call. I am not an owner but just curious to come check them out.
Thanks, Valerie
That Adventure Van Expo is still on for now and we’ll continue to update all the RV shows on this page.
Greetings,
We’re interested in attending an RV show to educate us more prior to purchasing. We live in Huntsville, AL area. We’re willing to travel if the show is worth it.
Thank you
There are RV shows focused on a certain type of camper such as the Super B Show in Arizona. Then there are huge RV shows that have just about every camper you want to check out such as the California RV Show and Florida RV SuperShow. We’ve been to all three mentioned and found them to be worthwhile, but it depends on your goal and what you’re looking for.
Hi! This is a new show coming up this February.

Thanks for sharing this list! What a huge help this is!
If I could go to one RV show this year (the biggest show out there) which one should I attend?
It depends on what type of RV(s) you’re looking for. We’ve been to the Tampa RV Show and CA RV Show and both are good for seeing a wide variety of RVs and accessories.
Is there an RV Show just for class b RVs? I love watching you on YouTube!!
Hey Jason. Some of the shows you want to check out are the Super B RV Show and the Adventure Van Expo shows.
Wondering when you’ll be at the Jacksonville RV show (October 11-14)?
We don’t have plans to attend this year. Have you been?
Hi, we’re looking for 2-3 large expos featuring travel trailers. We’re looking small—single axle, 5,000 lbs and under. Any shows you’d recommend in the next year that highlight such campers? Thanks
Hi Jonathan. All of the big RV shows will have quite a few small trailers from different manufacturers. We don’t know of any specific shows that highlight small trailers though. Our suggestion would be to research some companies you’d like to see and then find out if their products will be at the show you’re going to.
Great thanks, Joe.

Thx for the info, can you share your twitter handle
Hi
We are from South Africa. We manufacture components for RVs and caravans. Which would be the best Expo to attend in the US please ?
Hi Sandra. You may want to check out RVX.
Are the RV shows specifically for Adventure RV Vans – like 4 x 4 Sprinter based RV vans.
They vary. Overland Expo would be good for adventure vehicles.
I was wondering why you didn’t list the Houston RV show (http://www.houstonrvshow.com).
It’s from February 6-10 (and is sure would be great if you were there!).
Love the new book… I’m on Chapter 28: Warranty Woes…. oh dear!
You have been an immense help with your fantastic channel, blog and videos!
Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the heads up Robert – we’ve updated the post with the Houston show. Unfortunately we won’t be there. Enjoy the rest of the book!
Nooooo- I can’t do it! Ok I really want to go to one of these. We love wandering through the new models. We spent a month at Lazydays in Tampa last year while our rig was in the shop. We spent many an afternoon touring through the newest models. Problem is that it always makes us want a new rig!
Thanks for this list!

The Roving Foleys
Have been looking at Sportsmobile conversions for a while now and even toured their facility in Austin, Tx. last week. After watching your videos on Hymer I notice they are built on the same Promaster chassis I was going to have them convert into a camper van. Not for full time living but for short and semi-extended camping trips. My question is since we do take trips off road (not extreme or requiring a 4X4) can we add a lift kit(2 to 3″max) to the Activ 1.0 to facilitate bigger tires? We were thinking 245 X 75 on the same 16″ rim? Or could we go slightly bigger? Lastly, on 1.0 can Hymer give us a van without the shower so we can utilize that space for something else (bigger fridge) maybe? Thanks, you guys have been a great source of information and inspiration.
My husband & I attended our 2nd RV show (Hershey Pa.)this past weekend – you really should go with having done some internet searching .We found that the shows can be overwhelming.Wish we had another day to rehash what we saw.I thought I did my research but there was more I didn’t know was out there like Hymer’s.Also I wish I had taken some cell phone pictures. Kait had suggested this in one of your videos – which I watched after the show. Also didn’t realize it might take months to get the model you want. Thanks for your very informative videos. Happy Trails to you
You’re welcome Bev!
I very much enjoy your information videos and the places you visit.
Keep them coming.
Safe travels. ?
Awesome list. Joe and Kait, you two are such a great resource. You saved me countless hours searching to add these show dates into my 2018 and 2019 calendar. All the best 🙂
Thank you for the list. We’ve been to a few and they seem to have very few class Bs. Do any of those listed have more than just 3 or 4 true Bs?
Lisa – all shows are different but the larger ones like California/Pomona, Hershey and Tampa have pretty much most available options on display.
I’ve seen so many dealers and sales people trying to sell small class C’s as class B motorhomes. One sales person I asked about a class be showed me a small class C and said it was a B. I said no it’s built on just a cab cutaway not a complete van. Her remark well it has a B in the model name so it’s a class B. Wow.
